the country's own currency, and the USD figure is nuvy's arithmetic, not a published line.
Above the threshold nuvy will not quote you a number. Over the ₱10,000 exemption the border adds 12% VAT plus a customs duty set by how the parcel is classified — expect a bill, and not one nuvy can size.
Customs rule last checked against the authority itself on 2026-08-25. These change — the US $800 exemption was suspended on 2025-08-29 — so treat an old date as a reason to verify.
